Archuleta County needs folks to serve on the fair board. There’s nothing political about this gig at all — it’s pure community service.

The fair is July 30 to Aug. 2.

Archuleta Democrats will have a booth again this year at Brews for Rescues, which features beer tasting, food trucks and music — all to help animals in need.

We’re looking for people to help set up and take down our tent and sign interested folks up for our newsletter.

You’ll also be required to give pets,  hand out treats, and ask “Who’s a good boy (or girl)?”

We’re evaluating whether we can put together a team of 6-12 people to volunteer at a Habitat for Humanity job site in May or June. Most groups volunteer for a Friday/Saturday shift.

This is a great opportunity for folks who are fit and like to be outdoors.
