Patients at Pagosa Springs Medical Center may be feeling cozier soon thanks to the efforts of the Archuleta County Democratic Party.
On May 1, a group of volunteers met with Rhonda Webb, PSMC CEO and Chief Medical Officer, to deliver fleece lap blankets the group had crafted.
Volunteers gathered on a Sunday morning in April to create the blankets, which are made by stacking two coordinating pieces of fleece, cutting fringes, and then tying them in knots.
Lee Stopher, vice chair for community outreach, coordinated the project, including selecting the materials and recruiting the volunteers.
